Test Chamber

This blog is a space for me to gather some thoughts, code snippets and other things that I feel are useful for a mobile app tester who’s interested in automation. The focus is mostly on Android and the Espresso framework for UI automation, but you might encounter a few posts here and there that are more generic or about other frameworks.

If you like, you can just browse around or use the hash tags to view posts about specific subjects. If you’re looking for a more coherent experience, I’ve combined some of my posts together to form a course, see: Courses. There’s also a page with resources: Resources.

About me

My name is Rutger Korstjens. I’m a test engineer with a passion for mobile apps. I enjoy being involved in all aspects of mobile app development that help take an app from requirements to release. I specialise in test automation and have worked with Appium, XCUITest and Espresso at various companies.

In the past year I have fashioned myself into a junior Android developer and made my debut as a speaker at Saucecon 2019, where I hosted a workshop on UI automation with Espresso.
